Hilton to expand in the region

With the second hotel under the DoubleTree brand set to open in Dubai during June this year, Hilton Worldwide is looking to have properties in Abu Dhabi, Oman, Morocco and Tunisia, according to Rudi Jagersbacher, the hotel company’s president for the Middle East and Africa.

Hitachi, WJCO form joint venture in gas-insulated switchgear business

Hitachi Ltd. has signed a joint-venture agreement with Walid Ahmad Juffali Co. Ltd. (WJCO) for a gas-insulated switchgear business.In the agreement, Hitachi will hold a 51-percent share of equity while WJCO will hold a 49-percent share.
